Good deal. FYI - I learned the hard way that the Shell gift cards sold in the Shell app aren't charged to Shell, but instead RPG Gift Cards (and therefore won't qualify for these offers). Better to simply use your Amex at a Shell station or when filling up via the app.

It's basically for multiple fills up to $100 max to the end of the year, so should be no problem to use at the pump.

That's my plan, except with Stop & Shop points. Just earned enough rewards for max savings on up to 60 gallons, so total I have to spend at Shell is ~$100. Easy $10 here.

The question is even with this is it cheaper than gas at Costco using Windham Business card for 8 points.

Not sure it's California Shell problem but all the shell I've been in Norcal and Socal is that they are like 20% expensive than Costco and still like 5~10% expensive than Chevron near them
