I got this exact one from the kickstarter campaign as an early backer, so I'm not the best person to comment on this price being a good deal or not since I paid much less. But for performance, this thing is a beast for using as a Plex server/general NAS. The 1235U can transcode everything I've thrown at it without problems and can handle plenty of simultaneous transcodes at once without breaking a sweat (I don't know what the max is but others online have benchmarked this)
Upgrading RAM is super simple as well, though I wish it had DDR4 as DDR5's performance improvements aren't needed for a NAS so the savings from older DDR4 sticks would've been nice.
