Unless it's changed recently the speeds are capped at 5 (basic) / 10 (plus) /15 (plus pro) Mbps for the three plans. But it's unlimited at those speeds, they don't slow you down after x GB of hotspot usage.

My house is nearly 1,000 feet from the Verizon tower.

I'm currently using Visible Basic, and the hotspot works very well. Even with Basic,

The proximity of the Verizon tower may be one reason.

I think they have something in their terms about the hotspot not being used as primary home Internet. My mom is on the basic plan and uses 20 to 40 GB a month for well over a year with no issues.

Damn , just switched to Visible a bout 5 weeks ago , and Iam happy with them (+plan = $30 month w/tax for 12 months) but cant get this better deal for the + for $26 for 26 months (not within the 9/10 days this deal is offered)

I joined visible last year on the free iPhone promo. For the most part it's been pretty good but we came from T-Mobile prepaid which had better coverage and speeds (but terrible customer service). One other benefit of visible is the internet discount if you have Fios, took our internet down to $20/month.
