Can anyone vouch for the moistness of this cake? Could it ACTUALLY be *perfectly* moist?

Pro-Tip, take a baby carrot and peel it. Then cut it into small pieces. Add to mix and bake.

The box itself says to frost the cake with Duncan Hines Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting, but at least on my product page, I could not find a link to it. Automatic page content fail... Smilie

Wish they had a version without raisins in it. Gross.

Those ingredients certainly don't sound good.

I add more raisins and carrots to mine. Try their spice cake, really not much different and not much spice.

Glad you mentioned that. As much as I know that carrot cake often includes them, I don't want any part of a cake that has raisins in it.

Interesting... that's a very different list compared to what's posted in the product images:

Who knew cake with frosting as pictured on the box was not a health food

Sugar is the second ingredient for the cake itself. There is more sugar than dehydrated carrots, raisins or anything else other than bleached flour. Frosting just takes it to a whole other level.

I have an old box (right) and a new box (left) of their carrot cake. Earlier this summer, my grocery store cleared out the carrot cake mix and didn't restock for weeks. I wonder if it wasn't due to the product change/reformulation.
