Having purchased these twice on separate occasions, I get the sense for why they end up on WOOT. There seems to be a high degree of variability in how they are assembled such that the two umbrellas I purchased on separate occasions cannot achieve the same position. I have to install them fundamentally differently on two identical chairs to cast the same shadow.

And as i have mentioned on previous threads, they will not provide full coverage - even the XL. You can usually get your torso shaded and tuck your arms in, but not your legs.

Definitely better than nothing and probably worthwhile at this price if you plan for the limitations, but not a replacement for a handheld golf umbrella or a tent.

Dang, I thought I got a decent deal for an Amazon warehouse one for 20 bucks. Ordered 2 thanks! Like others have mentioned, these aren't going to shade your whole body but the portability and flexibility is convenient for weekend soccer games/golf/camping if nothing else but to at least shade the upper torso

Anything that has a bar. I use it at the beach and kids outdoor games on the camping chairs. Used it once during rain game. Light wind will blow over anything not sitting in it.
