The tp-link one is widely known and therefore nearly universally supported with drivers. While the others will work in Windows, and likely Linux, you may (or may not) have trouble with embedded systems like game consoles or home automation boxes, etc.

I just bought this 3-4 months ago and it works great. Literal plug and play, and I've never needed to touch it again. I mean, that's how its supposed to work but in the past I've not always been so lucky (Asus cough cough)

What makes this better than a $3 dongle? Just curious

Well it's made by tp-link so you get the added benefit of a Chinese backdoor to your computer.

Can I use this for my wireless mouse's that have lost their usb dongles? I have like 5 Logitech wireless mouse's that don't get used because their counterparts had been misplaced.

More likely not, unless your mouse is Bluetooth. I have few Logitech mouses and the receiver use 2.4ghz unifying dongle (orange light icon on the receiver).

Some of your logitech mouse might have a bluetooth mode that can be toggled with a switch somewhere on the mouse, usually on the bottom. If your computer already has a bluetooth antenna, you don't need this dongle though.

Seem like useful things to have. I bought a BT2.1 dongle way back when, and then a BT3.0 dongle a bit later (both deals at the time). Thinking I might have use for them on my desktop(s)... and have never used either. Time for an upgrade!

Not sure about the cheaper models, but most of the Logitech devices I've bought in the past several years either came with BT support, a unique receiver, or have the newer Bolt receivers. Feels like Logitech is moving away from Unifying models.

This reminds me. I was trying to connect a bluetooth control to my motherboard which has wifi 7 and bluetooth integrated.... man do I hate bluetooth. Won't detect the controller. It's in pairing mode. Read manuals. Asked a.i. The device shows up sometimes when trying to pair. No rhyme or reason why it fails to show up 9 out of 10 times. It won't connect.

Plugging USB cables into the back of a PC it is for me. It just works. Bluetooth after all these decades still sucks.
