It's a docking station not a high speed drive so look at it for what it is. It added the USB A ports I really needed and as a bonus I have the Samsung drive I didn't used before attached for Time Machine backups. For $20 can get better than this.

Dumb idea that probably sounded genius on paper. However agree that for $20, consider it looks quality, can't go wrong if you need the ports

You know what an even better design would be? Putting the docking station on top of the m4. But then you couldn't see The Apple logo, gasp!

Side note, why does Apple hate letting users turn off their devices? Power button on the bottom of the Mac Mini? Shut-down placed in the settings of iOS devices? It's like they have control issues.

You can shut down an iOS device by using the buttons on the side.
