This acoustic electric (aka electroacoustic or acoustoelectric guitar
is $70 on Woot. It seems like the older version of the IYV-IJGAP-200
without the battery door. I can't find a review of this specific one.

Here's the original Amazon site

What do you think about this type of acoustasonic clone?

This might be good for a child to mess around with. But quality seems to be lacking and they admit it. From the description:

In yen guitars have strong fingerboard without bedding, good tapering, good shape and good sounds because they are made by conk machine with 3D computer programming
  • All guitars are made punctually by CNC machine with computer programming
  • Perfect neck with almost no defectiveness
  • All guitars with good specification
  • Hammer the buzzing fret down a bit to fix the buzzing sound. You can widen the pot a bit to make it fit to the knob

I've had like 3 IYV guitars of different models.
The bones are pretty solid. Pretty impressed with mine for the price.
Good mod platforms. Mine were every bit as good as the top of the line Squires I have.
Changing electronics and tuners takes you far. Fretwork was good on my other models. Nothing was raised and the edges were not sharp.
Were they equivalent to a $2000? Of course not. But you're likely buying this to be a meat and potatoes beater..

You find an acousticsonic-style guitar at $70 shipped that can compete with it.
You can't. No, these are not up to Squier Paranormal/Classic Vibe quality. But they are a small fraction of the price.
I won't be buying this as I own one of the expensive non-Fender models. But I own two Iyv's (made in Vietnam), and they are great for the price. I really don't see how anyone can whine about this guitar at this price. It literally costs less than the TI-flatwound strings on my fretless bass!

I have the Tele version. It's a decent guitar, and I use it for live performances, but I had to do a few modifications. On the Tele version, the magnetic pickup was very weak and too far from the strings. I replaced it with a Lace Sensor Blue pickup that I had in my parts drawer. I needed to add a pickup ring and use a Dremel to open the area around the original pickup mounting screws so I could raise the magnetic pickup high enough to match the output of the piezo pickup. The Lace Sensor Blue is about 12k. I needed output that high and I needed to put it close to the strings. Lace Sensors don't use strong magnets, so they don't alter the sound of the string too much like other magnetic pickups do. But, If I had something else in my parts drawer, I probably would have used it. The guitar arrived set up and ready to play. My tech didn't even have to make adjustments to it. I'd buy another if I needed to.
