I was skeptical too -- until I bought it in the Spring. I'd seen these "waterless" or "rinseless" wash products for many years. But the newer ones (ONR and a few others) have actually gotten good reviews on the detailing forums. I'm an hobbyist detailer for many decades, so I was always the 2 buckets and a hose guy...
I used this in the colder spring months, but kept in mind that this can't defy the laws of physics. If you have lots of stuff deposited on your car's paint, you can't expect this to fully emulsify the dirt 100% and there a risk of some scratching. I live in the NE, so there is lots of salt/sand that accumulates and I wouldn't use it without rinsing with a hose first to the bigger particles off. But the way I think of it is that this stuff is like "super soap" -- soap is slick and emulsifies dirt -- said another way, this stuff is better than soap at doing what soap does.

Seems like this is good for a quick wash on a vehicle that's already fairly clean? Usually when I'm washing my vehicles they've got a good coat of dirt/dust/salt or something on them so I feel like without a pre-rinse this would cause scratching wouldn't it?
There are plenty of canada videos of how to wash a salty car with a rinseless wash.

But the long of short of it is the wash doesnt scratch the car, the drying does.

So worse case would be:
Hose down salty car using ONR with pump sprayer. This will start breaking down some of the grit
Use a mit meant for waterless wash, or the "fill a bucket with ONR soaked microfibers"

After that you can either wipe down with your moistened micro fiber, or hose down the car again with ONR if you think the dirt is not encapsulated.

any difference between version 5 and 6 ?
Its always the same between versions. "even more lube and polymers".

So V6 has more any scratch encapsulation polymers than V5, which has more any scratch encapsulation polymers than V4.

Its been a great many V's since anything real has changed. The last great change was V2/3 made it with a built in water softener so more spot free wipe downs. They even recommended adding cap fulls to a normal bucket wash just to help with softening/lube.

This ONR, and TEC 582 hybrid ceramic wax as 1:1 drying aid, makes a quality, cheap, and timesaving combo for keeping a nice clean gloss on a daily driver parked 24/7 outdoors in dusty conditions. I use only 0.50oz of ONR and 96oz of water every 2-3 weeks, makes it very portable and easy to clean in two or three 15 minute sessions during lunch or after work, and as long as I take 5 minutes every day or so to dry dust the car the clean shine holds up.
Man of culture. This combo is simple and very effective.

Been wanting to try an Rinsless wash, this is like 6 years supply worth for me but a great deal. Wish it was V6 but this will do, there isn't a ton of difference. The sponges are fairly important with a rinsless wash method. They release the dirt much better than say a microfiber wash mit or cloth. In for a penny in for a pound.

I found it on mobile searching ONR and selecting sizes but can't check out - same 500 issue.
I was eventually able to check out. I'll chalk it up to the ongoing AWS issues.

You have washed your car 32 times in 7 years?
Some of us have other dedicated wash methods, with ONR as a backup. I only use ONR for pre-soak of bugs, clay lubricant, and spot clean between washes. I'm using it at a rate of 10 years per 32oz and my car has been washed 4 times in 8 days.

Or just use a half a cap for soft water softening of the normal bucket wash.

Yes this is great as a touch up. If I have real buildup I rinse first. I use the green version that has the wax built into it too.

ONR is great but I think there are better options. I'm on year 3 of exclusively using rinseless wash products. Koch Chemie RRW is what I'm currently using and it's about the same as P&S Absolute. I recommend either one of those. They're more slick and release contaminants/ dirt better from wash media. With ONR my wash media is never really clean again, it gets permanently stained.
