So obviously we just had this exact laptop for sale from Walmart Direct for $950, and if you have a time machine great, if you don't though I think at $1050 this is still basically the gaming laptop deal to beat at the 5060 level of the market. Incredible screen, good performance, great build quality, lightweigh (for a gaming laptop 4.3~lbs). And unlike the I7 for $1200 that has been promoted a good bit, this gets 6-7 hours of battery on web browsing, the I7 gets under 2. I know because I bought the I7 when it first came out. Loved everything, but the battery life was basically unusuable.
Other things to note, yes there is a second open SSD slot, and yes a second open DRAM slot, so you can add a 16 GB stick to go to 32 (and improve performance some) or replace both and go way way higher.
Sold by Antonline on Walmart FULFILLED BY WALMART which means it has the Walmart returns through end of January and returns to any store, so you can buy this and slow roll for a better deal.
Also the 3 year allstate warranty with drop and accident protection is $88, $98 for 4 years. Specs ripped from the $949 post.

There is still nothing at this price point on or off sale that competes with this laptop. And the main reason this is a good pick is Walmart fulfilled and free returns through January 31st. BF and CM are over a month away, there is no reason if you want a laptop today to pass on a laptop at $100 more that beats everything else within a hundred plus dollars over it.
Like I would agree if this was a Best Buy purchase with a 14 day return policy, but you have 100~ days to return this.
As a comparison point, this deal went front page at $50 less today. This deal is trash compared to this Legion on every metric except touch screen which likely doesn't matter to almost anyone and a .9 inch screen size increase (which may). You may feel the below is a bad deal, I certainly do given the config and lack of expandable ram, but that isn't stopping people from buying it it would seem.

Although it's in stock at all stores, I know not everyone has accessibility to it. But this MC deal and the expired $949 deal makes this here more of a pass.
Okay. Thanks. You can kindly go away now. I will never understand why you are so condescending to literally everyone who has the audacity to even mildly disagree with you, but dude there is a way to disagree with someone without being like this. I have never said or done anything to you except occasionally comment on build qualities and other related things on your posts.
But just to be clear, I am well aware of the differences both in use cases and need. And no, that isn't a creator laptop. It's pretending to be one, because with 16 GBs of ram that isn't upgradeable you aren't creating anything except disappointment as you spend a grand on a laptop that will struggle at even the most basic of creator tasks in 2025, never mind if you plan to use it for more than a year or two.. But then you know that because you are aware of laptops and specs right? And that whether it's a "creator laptop" or not, a bunch of people in those threads won't know the difference and but it because it has a dedicated GPU.

That legion with the dim IPS display the extra half a pound of weight, and the third smaller battery that you can only get in store in some major cities makes this laptop that anyone can order today that literally nothing at it's price point beats or comes close to a bad deal? Oh and the icing on the cake since you condescendingly brought up specs? This Oled is also 100% DCI-P3 rated. You know that thing you brought up as being a big deal and suited for people who make content and create? I mean but you knew that right, you knowing all about specs and laptops and definitely not just chomping at the bit to be an ass to anyone who has the audacity to post a laptop deal other than yourself?
You bring up specs in one post, then act like that massively downrated Legion 5 is somehow comparable. It's nonsense. $150 for a 100% DCI-P3 Rated Oled with massively brighter output, a 33% larger battery, in a half lb less weight which by the way is a bigger weight gap than the one you thought important enough to bring up between this laptop and the Ideapad of disappointment, but here that weight difference? Doesn't matter. Screen difference? Who cares? Massive battery size difference and limited to only local Microcenter buyers? Nah makes this one you can buy today with a 100 day return policy a bad buy because maybe one day in the future there will be a better deal. But today there isn't and that includes the deal you went and bumped on your thread about Microcenter.
is easily worth the price difference here and as you pointed out, basically makes those different laptops entirely.
