Chatted with customer rep and they said if you order directly from Terramaster, it will be shipping from China. If you order from Amazon, it will be from the USA. Same price after clipping coupon on Amazon. Looks like the Amazon coupon expires October 22, 2025. Hope that helps.

This is an interesting nas. Just be aware of what it can and can't do, and don't be fooled by marketing claims. I can see this being a useful design for a situation where you consistently have multiple users, especially if you are running databases or other technologies where the speed of nvme access comes into play (not transfer speed, but random access), and link aggregation of the two 5gb ports would truly give you more bandwidth (IF you have a network capable of such speeds. Many people don't understand link aggregation and think it doubles the throughput from a single device, which is not the case). The three nvme slots are 3x1 - gen 3 with a single lane dedicated - so you won't be getting superfast transfers even with the fastest nvme. The lack of pcie lanes, presumably from using the n150 cpu, hamstrings the throughput. The reviewer in the link below was getting around 825mb/sec to an nvme capable of over 5000mb/sec.
But if you do have such a use case, you will be limited by the memory. 16gb of ddr5 is excellent for most users, but for a file server, you might want more, and this unit's memory is not upgradeable.
You might see all this and think "who cares, it's fast enough", and that's fine if it does what you want it to do. Just be aware of what to expect. Here is a link to a good review that goes into more detail:

I'm looking to upgrade my very old 2-bay DSLX, which I only use for Plex storage. I have a Windows 10 NUC that I use as the Plex media server. I'm hoping this will replace both. Is this a good option?

Just got mine in today. Shipped from China but everything looks great. No tax from China so that's nice too. Also got 4 14TB Enterprise drives to populate it. Gonna be my weekend project.
