If such pretend problems really concern you, just disconnect or set the game to offline mode. You only need to activate once and never again. Use a throwaway email to really confuse them
FWIW, your ISP, Google, Microsoft, and (dozens of companies you've never even heard of) are continuously monitoring far more than whatever you pretend EA fetches for the 1/4 second it phones home when you boot up the game.
P.S....you don't mind the Steam DRM continuously monitoring you, but EA DRM...within Steam DRM ...is the line in the sand we do not cross?

FWIW, the only way you aren't going to be cut off from all of that is if you only use disposable emails to buy DRM free games from the likes of GOG. Of course using disposable emails to create accounts for GOG, and your PC, and your OS, and the burner phone you used to access all of that. Wait until you find out about GPS or cell tower triangulation....
It is amazing how you can be so gung-ho about something like online privacy when you are posting from a 11 year old account. If your account was created yesterday, you might be living the anonymous hacker lifestyle but clearly you ain't.

Sure, I have an 11 year old account on slickdeals, but I also used to have accounts at most every other service. I'm sure if you looked i probably made silly remarks in the past, too, but I like to think that I've been paying attention and improving as I learn. Know better, do better.
