"To pay for the TV, Telly collects a wide range of user data. Its terms of service state that the company tracks information about what you watch, the duration of your sessions, and even the physical presence of people in the room via its built-in camera and sensors. While Telly claims this data is anonymized before being shared, some users still feel uncomfortable with the level of tracking."
Ah.. one data leak, the entire world watch me beat the meat? I will pass this one professor.

What happens when you cover the camera and the second screen?
You are not allowed to, I remember signing up for this years ago when it was first offered. Essentially if you cover the camera/ads, you are breaking the terms of the contract and they charge you for the tv ($1000)
I'm guessing this TV would require constant Internet connectivity to function period. Would be cool if someone can figure out how to hack it to function as a simple dumb display, and possibly even utilize the bottom screen for those who want to use this on a computer

I've had it for 18 months now. Its a midrange 4k tv with a Sansung panel so it's not that shitty. As far as the camera, that can be covered with the sliding door and you can put tape if your super paranoid. That does not break the terms. What you cannot have covered is that bottom ad screen. Forst day or two it was distracting but than got used to it and my eyes dont even glance at it anymore while watching content on the main screen. Kids love the motion activated games it comes with. Overall it's a great set for a bedroom tv.
