Curious to know why the model number of this keyboard sort of takes from the naming scheme of Corsair's keyboards.

Who knows? On the off chance someone looks up a Corsair number and discovers this one? And decides this is just as good and cheap as a Corsair?

i have used dozens of reddragon mechanicals across the offices i service (set backlighting to solid colour or off) and include them as part of any gaming pc package i build.

great budget units, failure rate is lower than when i was using the budget corsair mechanicals. for the price they are excellent units.

It's a good keyboard. The switches are really good. It has good dampening. I'm not the biggest fan of the keycaps. They're not terrible, but they have a weird level profile. OEM or Cherry profile is better.

Speaking of which, the last Corsair keyboard I used which was the "K68," I had to replace the CTRL key (at the bottom left) twice so I'm hoping this K689 fits the bill since I'm considering buying one for myself since it seems to have a smaller footprint and I love the fact that Redragon placed the "Windows" key toward the top instead since I'm always accidently pressing it when attempting to do button combos for shortcuts whether using the CTRL or ALT keys.
