Is the OP price incorrect? This would cost $90 total ($55 for signup/first month + $35 for second month)?
Edit/Addition for future readers (who don't go past the first page):
OP price is correct if you want the phone to use on ST the final cost is just the 1-month plan ($55). My comment about the final price being higher, was for this phone to be unlocked, which would involve purchasing one additional month of service, which would not necessarily need to be the Gold Unlimited plan.
5G Modem.
8GB ram / 128GB rom
OIS on main camera.
5000 mah battery.
QI charging.
SD card slot.
Headphone jack.
IP68 resistance.
This beats out the S25 Ultra and the iPhone 17 pro max in terms of features... for less than $100 each.

This Moto G Stylus 5G 2025 deal stands out for a feature packed budget phone, with OLED display, IP68 water resistance, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, microSD expansion, headphone jack, wireless charging, and a 5000mAh battery. The phone is also praised for snappy performance, good face unlock, and solid value once it unlocks. The main catch is the service requirement, since unlocking depends on 60 days of paid service and the plan math can change with autopay, taxes, and plan downgrades. A few reports also flag battery drain, bloatware, and occasional activation or shipping hiccups, making it a strong value if the carrier terms fit your plan.
Common Questions (6)
It unlocks after 60 days of paid service, and the second month is required to satisfy that requirement. The service does not need to be continuous, but the phone must remain tied to paid service long enough for the unlock clock to complete.
Yes, the plan can be downgraded after the first month, and the Bronze plan is commonly used for the second month. The new plan should be added in reserve or at the next cycle so you do not lose remaining paid days or interrupt the 60-day unlock window.
The phone can zero out in cart when the required plan is selected, but taxes, fees, and shipping still apply. The required plan has shifted in the thread from Gold to Silver in some listings, so the exact minimum plan should be checked on the current offer page before ordering.
Yes, the promo wording allows a new line of service or a port-in, and new-number activation has worked. Porting is optional for Straight Talk, though the phone still needs to be activated on the required plan.
It has some carrier bloat, and more can download after Wi‑Fi setup. Disabling Mobile Services Manager right after setup is the key step because it is the app that pushes much of the extra software.
Yes, it has been reported working on Mint/T-Mobile after unlock, including dial-in voicemail. The phone also supports T-Mobile-friendly bands such as n71, so it should be a reasonable fit for T-Mobile-based service once unlocked.

$59.99 doesn't make sense. The phone is $199.99 with no plan, with the $55 plan (or $50, if you do the autopay) it would zero out the phone and just show the charge for the plan ($50 or $55) in the cart.
With taxes/fees, it goes up a few dollars. I guess that might bump the total to ~$59.
Are you picking the phone linked in the OP, then picking the Gold Unlimited plan?
edit: I ask because on my Metro branded Stylus 2022 the plain old dial-in voicemail stopped working. I'm pretty sure an update killed it.
From the log:
10-07 22:56:43.936 1749 3029 W Telecom : TmoConfigHelper: config not found!
10-07 22:56:43.936 1749 3029 E ActivityThread: Failed to find provider info for com.motorola.carrierconfig.provider.CarrierConfigDataProvider
Or you can use the visual voicemail app, which also lets you download voicemails. T-Mobile has released versions that stopped working on more than one occasion, so I always deny updates when I get a version that actually works.

Is band 71 supported? Different versions of the same phone often exist, depending on where you buy it from and the bands aren't listed in detail, so I don't want to rely on another store's/carrier's listing.
