Maybe I need another cup of coffee, but ...
Is the OP price incorrect? This would cost $90 total ($55 for signup/first month + $35 for second month)?

Edit/Addition for future readers (who don't go past the first page):
OP price is correct if you want the phone to use on ST the final cost is just the 1-month plan ($55). My comment about the final price being higher, was for this phone to be unlocked, which would involve purchasing one additional month of service, which would not necessarily need to be the Gold Unlimited plan.

Activated phone when IMEI became available online while the phone is prepped for shipping. Request a new number and it worked for both phones.

This is one of the few phones left in 2025 with a full feature set...

5G Modem.
8GB ram / 128GB rom
OIS on main camera.
5000 mah battery.
QI charging.
SD card slot.
Headphone jack.
IP68 resistance.

This beats out the S25 Ultra and the iPhone 17 pro max in terms of features... for less than $100 each.

I've decided to wait, not in a hurry, and won't forget. I believe any additional payment just shows as a credit balance, so you could do it.

Here is a summary of my experience with this deal.

-I see now that this deal is available on a silver plan!! Pretty cool and you can get the multi line discount f you do two. This applies to the gold and the silver plan.

- Ordered two of these and activated one line first. I was curious about delayed activation of one line versus another and it worked just fine. As of right now, one line has a payment due on 11/26 and another one is around 10 days later. They were also delivered in a timely manner. And as of right now, I had my MIL try this out as well and was able to order and it shipped in a couple days (possibly due to the weekend). We will see if she gets hers in a timely manner as well.

- I noticed that once I activated one line and subsequently the other, that it shows 28 days of service. This is interesting considering that it takes 60 days of service to unlock. Could we be in store for a potential 3 months of service to unlock? We shall see.

I'm hoping that if I delay the continuation of service, it may allow me to gain a couple extra days and still allow me to unlock in 60 days.

- I have also read that the 30gb of hotspot was limited to 5mbps but every test I do gives me full speed. So I plan to burn through the hotspot data at some point and see if the 5mbps is specific to when you use all the main hotspot allotment.

- I was also able to take advantage of the 3 month iPhone 12 mini plan as its not limited by the constraints of this deal which is limited to 2 per customer per household (I think that's the terms).

- I also noticed an option to add a plan in "reserve" where it seems you can line up your bronze plan to be the next plan for the next cycle. This does not work for me, for reasons I stated above.

On sim cards and such....I was able to place my ST sim card in another phone and it worked. I need to try placing my visible wireless sim into the ST Stylus phones and see if that works. Ill update this post when I know.
update - a commenter below suggested that one would tread carefully with putting your sim in other devices. For clarity, I was only curious if it would work and plan to keep my sim in my moto phone.

If I think of anything else that would be helpful....Ill swing back and try to edit the post.

Sim is registered to phone IMEI when activated and swapping sim is NOT recommended. Sim should always should stay in the phone it comes with till phone unlocks.
FYI - While using sim in another phone may work for service the phone/sim can auto re-register while in the 2nd phone - which means the original phone gets deactivated in their system and may not have the required 60 days of paid service to qualify for unlock - I'd put sim the back & hope nothing got screwed up (ST/TW/TF support can be frustrating to deal with).

Someone already mentioned it but it appears the lowest plan required to get the phone for free is now silver instead of gold. $45 or $42.50 with auto pay.

What's the friend referral code for? It's asking for that when I try to activate a new number with ST. It's pretty shady they say 30 days when the plan only lasts 28 days. It's a big difference from the Gold down to Silver. $59.14 vs $32.31. Maybe they're trying to clean the inventory on these phones.

But, if people are only getting 28 days, this is how they *technically* adhere to the 60 days rule, while forcing you to buy 88 days (the previously mentioned "three month's worth") of service, for an unlock. Hopefully, it's mentioned somewhere in the sign up process that it's only for 28 days. Otherwise, I can see that being a potential issue in the future.

Unless *everyone* is just getting SIM cards that were pre-activated 2 days before they were received? Hopefully?

edit: I'm going through the initial purchase/signup process and the website specifically says 30 days of service at signup as a new line/account/customer, FWIW.

Well... a few hours later they cancelled the order and when I add it to the cart again no discount.

Edit: Hopefully 3rd time is the charm. But this time I only ordered 1 and I didn't create an account (the other times I thought it was required based on the flow)

I signed up w/ the silver plan & I'll post with my results once I activate. The real test will be in 60ish days to see if my phone unlocks, since I don't actually care about 60 days worth of service, just 60 days worth of credit towards the unlock.

I also placed an order to use as a budget phone for traveling overseas once it is unlocked.
ST website now states that we only need the Silver Plan, so I went with it for lower fee.
Thanks OP!
