Since you need an active line to port out I'd consider getting the $10 plan for an extra 7 days to be safe.
I'd be especially careful right now to follow the unlock requirements exactly as written so phone automatically unlocks at 60 days - the last thing you want is to give them an excuse to refuse (according to the new policy they can).
