Is the OP price incorrect? This would cost $90 total ($55 for signup/first month + $35 for second month)?

Edit/Addition for future readers (who don't go past the first page):
OP price is correct if you want the phone to use on ST the final cost is just the 1-month plan ($55). My comment about the final price being higher, was for this phone to be unlocked, which would involve purchasing one additional month of service, which would not necessarily need to be the Gold Unlimited plan.

Activated phone when IMEI became available online while the phone is prepped for shipping. Request a new number and it worked for both phones.

This is one of the few phones left in 2025 with a full feature set...

As I said I've done that in the past and it's worked but remember, this is a Tracfone company so anything can happen. Realistically though, you've already paid for the first month on Straight Talk, so you won't be saving much anyway. If you're goal is to unlock, why take the risk?

True. But it would be $45 + $19.99.
Compared to $45 + $35. Over a few phones it makes a bit of a difference.

That works if I'm able to but it from ST talk with the plan and not activate it with ST. Buy the $19.99 and activate with TracFone.
What you think if I buy in in store, it's activated with St. Should I wait the full 30 days and rebrand.

No reason to wait full 30 days on Straight Talk because you need full 60 days on Tracfone to unlock. You cannot mix and match 30 days on each provider to unlock.

Sure. But your suggestion to "Activate it on Tracfone right away with that $19.99 90-day plan" could be read to activate it on that $20 plan BEFORE activating it on the required Silver (or better) ST plan. Maybe that's not even possible because you pay for the first month on the ST plan up front. We just don't want anyone to make a mis-step and end up paying retail for the phone.

That's the cheapest, just more hassle.

Just as easy to downgrade from Silver to Bronze for $45 + $35.

Whens the best time to add the next month $35 should I do it on or before Dec 05, 2025 or should I wait a day or 2 past Dec 05?

I don't want t wind up having to pay for a third month to hit the 60day mark

You can add before Dec 5. Choose reserve instead of activate now, and it will auto refill on your current plan end date.
