Fun game. Don't go into it expecting it to be similar to the original trilogy and you will be pleasantly surprised. You do get to make some big decisions, but it's not at the same scale as the original trilogy. The paragon/renegade system returns and just like the original trilogy, going full paragon or full renegade is imo the best option to open additional choices throughout the story.

It can get a little tedious fully opening up each planet, needing to revisit them frequently and running down similar looking corridors (trying to avoid spoilers).

I tried to play Andromeda thrice and every time got bored with its terrible story and repeated mission structure within the first 4-5 hours. It might be a good idea to take a look at some of the gameplay before getting it because not only is it nothing like the original trilogy (that I have played thrice now from start to finish), but it's also not very well made from level design perspective in my opinion.
