Put the inside part of the bed inside of a trash bag. That's the part that holds the odor and gunk the most. That way you just have to worry about keeping the cover clean.

I bought an inexpensive allergy cover pillow case that fit over my dogs bed. Depends on size obviously… used a cheap pillow case over that to keep hair off and make it easier to wash in between. They have some at Wally land etc, that have fold over type ends to keep it from coming off when the tussle around in the crate or in the bed. I have dust allergies, so it was just a better option for my home.
