The Speckled Beauty: A Dog and His People (Heard good things & Love my pup)
I agree it should be easier to search the sale items.
Audible charges at the end of the month for next month and they don't notify you in email. I got a 3 month trial and didn't realize this and they wouldn't let me get a refund despite trying to get a refund on the first day of the month after my trial ended because they used predatory tactics by saying a free book will expire soon to trick a shared members into purchasing the "free" books.

Re: Not worth it: I'm in total disagreement with you on this. I have the Audible Premium Plus Annual—12 Credits plan. IIRC, I paid $110 last time. That's less than $10/book.
Additionally, they have BOGO deals fairly often. That brings the book prices to less than $5 each. There is also tons of free books/blogs/etc that a member can listen to in the Plus catalog. I've been a member (on and off) since 2004 and have over 450 books in my library, plus all the free content to listen to. I'm able to share the library with my sister as our taste in books is much the same.
I realize that there are free services at many libraries. However, the wait list on new books is months long for most of the ones I have tried.
Bottom line: You can make Audible work for you or you can let it work you.
