Ffs stop using cartridge razors, single blade is so much better. Please just ask around your friends can tell you
Cartridge razors are the largest segment of the razor market. Chances are your friends are using them too unless your "friends" are just people you talk to on a shaving subreddit.

Not sure how y'all are shaving, but these razors paired with Cremo shaving cream is the best shave I get.

These are my go to. I've been using them for a long time. 10-15 years. In for the deal. Have tried the single blade razors but never stuck with it. I shave every other day.

Unfortunately I haven't found any of my friends or family that aren't using cartridge. I can't even give them one of my extra handles that I stupidly bought. Most don't even know what I'm talking about when I say double edge or single. Straight razor seems to be recognized though.

Random thought:
Weren't Harry's razors just rebranded Dorco blades? Could have sworn some years ago Dorco was the supplier for quite a few of these cheaper brands.

The concern that these blades cut your skin are very true to those who have thin skin (low testosterone issues). If you have low testosterone and live a more pampered lifestyle, you will want to avoid these.

laughs in double edge safety razor blades.

i bought a variety pack a year ago and haven't needed to buy a blade again. maybe in a couple years? i shave a few times a week and each one seems to last 5-10 shaves.

i am rocking a red stainless steel rockwell 6s i bought on ebay for $60, quite like it. it has 6 different plates for adjusting the aggression of the blade. i like setting 4.

oh and i hated shaving before i bought a safety razor; now no irritation. get on board, you won't regret it.

I switched from these kinds of razors to a safety razor a few years ago and never looked back. Even getting the best feather blades costs a tiny fraction of what these cost and work significantly better.
what is the best blade to get? i got some slop in my variety pack and want to get the best blades when i finally run out. is it feather?

Quality of the razors has gone down significantly since I first started using them in 2016. Used to be a single swipe or two down was enough. Then it became multiple swipes up and down, or else stubbly, and usually nicking the skin several times. I thought I was going crazy about the quality being worse until I spent Christmas visiting my parents where I had an old Harry's razor stashed in the cabinet, and confirmed that the old blades were way sharper.

They suck now. I gave my remaining cartridges to my wife to use for her legs and started using DSC instead (which aren't great, either, but I have fewer cuts from them, and for some reason DSC keeps sending me promo cartridges in the mail despite never having subscribed to them, so, price of free).

Oof, that's a $120 handle or about 2.5 years of the cartridges I quite like using.

I got a variety pack when I got my first safety razor and it was night and day how much better the feather blades were compared to the rest. Some people say its personal preference and dependent on your face, but I can't imagine going back to anything else. Just make sure if you get feather blades that they're the legit ones, because there are a lot of fakes out there. I've been ordering bundles of 50 blades off amazon and they've been good and pretty cheap.

No face cuts here unless you slide it sideways instead of pulling it. Also, great for shaving for the head also.

Are these any good? Last time I used Harry's I cut my face pretty badly for a cartridge and had extreme irritation using their shaving gel.
I've used Harry's before and they are pretty decent blades. At this price it's a great deal. But I've been using Amazon Basics 5-Blade MotionSphere Razor and I'm all stocked up on them now. Very good blades.

Surprised to see the negativity on these, they are about the same as most other premium razor brands in my experience.

In general I like most of the products Harry's makes.

If you want to buy a used gillette you can pick one up for $20-30 on ebay. I wouldn't pay $120 for my razor but I've certainly got $60 of value from it so far.
