Similar question. I have a Google Fi account with four other people on it. Can I sign up with my spouse's account and then switch all other users over to the new plan? And when they say "new customers only" does that mean all the plan numbers have to be new or just the main plan owner?

I'd search up user experiences with TW first - we had a total nightmare trying to port a line over and customer service is completely useless. The good thing with Fi is (well used to be anyways, may have changed by now) they had decent agent support over the phone. All the companies can be fine as long as everything works, but good luck when it doesn't. As much as I hate having to pay the premium - having a corporate store for a major carrier close by helps a lot when you depend on your phone for business.
Customer service rep had a thick accent, but I had less issues porting than any other company I've been with (sprint/tmo/mint or Verizon)

With unlimited standard, can you still access $10/GB when abroad?
Also does it show for each line how much data did they consumed when abroad? Trying to manage this plan between two families.

Mint and Metro are better imo. With Google fi once you hit your data allotment you're slowed to dial up Internet speeds and it's unusable. On Metro or Mint it's just deprioritized which never matters in my area. Visible or TW are the best deals right now imo for the unlimited hotspot. TW gives free Disney + too on the $30 byod plan.
Who is TW? Tmobile Wireless prepaid? Awe, I'm assuming Total Wireless.

$25+ for two lines for one, and just $5 in taxes for 3 lines for the other?! One seems ridiculously high, and the other impossibly low, even considering the variability in locations.

I'm talking about the unlimited essential line. https://support.google.com/fi/ans...1254?hl=en

It says no hotspot tethering capability.
$10/gig is also ridiculously high coming from Germany. had 17 gig / month via simon for €7.99
BER airport had an orange simcsrd machine. 200gb for 40eur, you dont even talk to anyone.

Been a long time since I looked into this. In the past they had issues with service on iPhones vs Android. Is that still the case?

in California I got this deal awhile ago for 24 months discount with iPhone ported. unlimited standard. works great. moved from t mobile. taxes are $3.00 for 2 lines. same priority as t mobile itself. only thing i would want is apple watch not supported. much better than paying t mobile plan rate and getting a free phone. Buy the phone from apple store directly is cheaper and go with this. you get hotspot with unlimited standard plan. Google Fi is the only MVNO that has same priority data as t mobile. I used someone else referral on this site and got the $60 credit too. Message me if you want referral code.
apple charges money to carriers to support apple watch. im glad google fi doesnt support apple watches.
