This 45 inch LG UltraGear OLED stands out for its huge 5120 by 2160 canvas, deep blacks, sharp color, and very strong gaming performance. The 800R curve and semi gloss coating are part of the appeal for immersive play, and the price is described as the best seen for a new unit. The main tradeoffs are that the curve can feel too aggressive for productivity, there is no built in KVM, and the panel is not 4K. Deal access also appears to have become shaky as the code and model moved onto exclusion lists.

Bought it like 2 weeks ago and returned it. 800R is too much. Gaming is ok but not good for work/productivity.

This is 5K2K (5120 x 2160) at 125ppi, not 4k. I don't care about refresh rate, but higher ppi sounds better for work.
The 32 inch 4k monitors have 140ppi. Or there's also the 27 inch 4k monitors which have 166ppi.

Yes, I really want this at 1000R or even 1500R. I want to use it for gaming and productivity.

Does anybody know if the Amex 6% CB offer also applies to LG partner store?

If yes, plus another CB sites 2% would be an additional 8% saving.

ugh a little too expensive for me rn but this is the lowest it's been, right?
Most likely not the cheapest, if it catches on then it will get much cheaper. Wish I hopped on the 38" ultrawide resolutions, used they are not dropping to respectable used prices. I'm holding out on other ultrawides like this

So I'm hoping to find a solid 5080 prebuilt for $2k~ish come Black Friday. Will likely use it with my 65" G4 for the time being, but eventually want to get an OLED monitor once I have a desk and everything. I currently use a 32-34" non-OLED, slight curved (1800R?) in our office, and a Samsung G9 Odyssey 49" OLED at work (really cool, but def seems like overkill for at-home gaming).

Is this one of the BEST OLED monitors on the market right now? I've seen so many varying opinions. The LG Ultrawides 39-45", the ASUS ROG Swift 32" 4K, some MSI that seems to rival the ASUS, etc, etc.

What's the "G4/G5 equivalent" as far as monitors go that won't set me back more than $1k~?

they need to make a 45 ultrawide that has 240hz and is between 4k and 5k, or just make the 5k 240hz, this model sounds like a middle ground until they can make a 5k 240hz

Deal is the best it's been but I'm holding for Gen 3, 39 incher 4k with 240hz and 142 PPI vs this 4k 165hz and 123 PPI.
Beyond 144 gives me headaches anyway, just curious, what do you (people in general) use higher refresh rate monitors for?

Bought this on the previous deal and the 38 inch nano IPS to decide which one to keep. Besides the 800R that I'm not used to. This monitor doesn't have built in KVM. Sure I can buy a usb kvm but that's two steps every time switching the source. I'm leaning towards the IPS but this deal makes the OLED only like $100 more and it's OLED! I'm so torn.
