"If you already have Windows 11 Home pre-installed on your PC and you want to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, you should complete 2 simple steps: 1. Install all available updates: • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. Next, under Get up and running, select Windows Update > Run the troubleshooter • When the troubleshooter is finished running, restart your device • Next check for new updates. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security >Windows Update > Check for updates, and then install any available updates • Restart your device 2. Change Product (Activation) Key in Settings • Select Start Menu > Settings> Updates and Security > Activation > Change product key"

Fun Fact: If you upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, your existing Windows 10 key tied to your motherboard works for Windows 11. No need to purchase a new key.

With all the advertising and telemetry baked into Windows 11 this should be free

This is so shady -

I purchased 2 licenses and they gave me the same license twice. When I reached out to them, they said you can use the same license twice. Why would I pay twice for the same license? I then wanted a refund but they started to give me the run around.

So shady.

Cool, 7 bucks for the OS, and 50 more dollars for third party programs that restore basic functionality that you've grown accustomed to for 30 YEARS, because some dopes think you want an experience more resembling a mobile app. My favorite is the ultra thing, near impossible to grab scroll bars
I am equally annoyed by this, so I installed Classic Shell (free) to make the new version look like the old version.

Of course it's shady. They are just a couple of jackasses taking what is freely available to anyone on the grey market and turning around and selling it to unsuspecting rubes (no offense).

This should not be allowed on Slickdeals as this is not legit and could be problematic, both in terms of the product and the payment.

While I'm a huge fan of getting savings on software, this is the rare case where you're better off using any KMS/MAK activation tool that is exactly where these stolen/pirated enterprise Multiple Activation Keys come from. Just go to https://massgrave.dev/ and use their activation script which can activate various Microsoft products including Windows 11.
This.

If Windows 10 was garbage, Windows 11 is a garbage dump. It's all about having you move your personal data to their cloud so they can peruse, index, and monitize your existence. It's time to move to a Linux desktop, boys and girls.

Not seeing it on the page that it's Retail version. The price is good, but no indication that this can be moved to a new build when needed.
Based on my experience, I could reuse my win 10 key after replacing my Asus motherboard, and then after some years I could use the same key to install win 11, and have been working flawlessly for at least one year by now.

Just bought one, will try install later. Chat was in Estonia, but it's 5"20 EST. She said it's "retail" and valid if I change motherboard. But instructions include some workarounds if it's rejected. Good reviews on Trusted Pilot.

What Microsoft does in my experience with these kinds of keys is after a few reconfigurations like motherboard swaps it will stop activating, I reach out to Microsoft support will give me some bullshit about this being an enterprise key and give me a "one time" replacement key which is actually only good for one activation.

I'm not aware of a way to validate these keys as actual lifetime keys while you can still do a chargeback.
These are almost always OEM licenses that would never transfer to another motherboard to begin with.

Sad but true. Current version of Fidelity Active Trader Pro consumes very little CPU clock time and resources. Latest Beta version of Active Trader Pro requires the Edge core browser engine. Once loaded, Active Trader Pro Beta pulls 7-11x more CPU clock time and resources due to the Edge core browser running in the background to sell your personal data to Microsoft's customers.

Want proof? Log in to Fidelity.com with Firefox and uBlock Origin active. You'll see at least a dozen blocked items on this web page. Selling your personal data is big business in the USA!

I encourage others to contact Fidelity and other companies who have sold their soul to evil Microsoft to stop this practice, or you will take your $ elsewhere.

To them (Microsoft) it seems like you are just installing it on a new (another) machine so they deactivate it. Every one of these keys I've seen are OEM licenses which state the key is for only one machine. You can generally upgrade them pretty substantially, but MS balks at a new motherboard.
I wouldn't say they are all OEM, it's really a mixed bag. I've had no issues with moving a few of my OS drives to a new motherboard that had these cheap keys. Even a Windows 10 key I bought off Ebay for like $1.49 over 8 years ago still works today on another family member's computer, free upgrade to Windows 11. I've only had a couple OS's actually get shut down or get these annoying warnings maybe like 20+ years ago because it was an actual pirated version of Windows 7.

Microsoft thinks people are going to drop coin on software that spys on you and feeds you ads, crazy.
Debian 13 is a thing of beauty. Even Google uses it for gLinux their in house OS, testing branch with gnome. Say good bye to the bloat and spyware. To me Debian runs like a dream, Gnome is so clean, all the software i use is there, i even have it setup to auto update my APT and Flatpak packages automatically, and it never forces a restart. Perfect example is Bing backgrounds. MS installs spyware and takes over your webbrowser start screen and feeds you MSN ads. On Debian there's a bing extension but because the community is so great, there's no spyware or garbage included. That's the case over and over, where you get tools that are clean, well designed, and run way faster because they're open source. Its even easier to setup now than Win 11, which wants your email and blood sample. Microsoft is now even doing snapshots of your desktop at random to feed their Copilot training material, so hard pass.
