And for those who want to bypass a lot of BS, look into Rufus and Win11debloat. Rufus is a usb utility, and when combined with the windows 11 ISO's you can download for FREE from MS, you can select options like = create a local account (no MS login account) bypass CPU hardware requirements, bypass TPM requirements etc. Using this I installed 11 on a 20 year old laptop that in no way met the requirements (4gb ram, dual core cpu, no tpm, no secureboot) and it worked. I didn't keep it, bc Win 11 on 4gb of ram is a bad idea, but it worked.

After you do your install, get the Debloat tool. https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat
It's literally just a powershell script you run, and it can uninstall/disable all the useless bloat apps and turn off all the telemetry tracking stuff. Copilot, etc. It is very customizable and easy to run. I keep it on my Win 11 systems to run after major updates like the 25H2.

If you're okay being such an open book to corporations and hacks alike so they can monetize your data and sell it whomever wants it, or maybe sell that soccer schedule to the creep in the next town then you go for it. Some people actually prefer to keep their personal information to themselves, for some very good reasons. Clearly my post wasn't applicable to you--feel free to ignore. You know everything there is to know already. It was intended for people who are unaware of how egregious and shameless Microsoft and many other corporations, many of whom have created monopolies or oligopolies for the products & services they provide, have become with regard to taking what isn't theirs--our personal data, and using it for their own gain without any regard to how their actions negatively impact the lives of the data's owner; the individual they stole it from.

This is correct. And not just an upgrade, a clean install will pick up the key associated with your motherboard/laptop.<br />

I think you meant Massgrave, but yeah this is also an option for those with a little skill.
I just got an email from TurboTax saying they will only be supporting Windows 11 going forward. TurboTax probably would have run fine on the Windows 10 VM I have this year, but I decided that for $7, what the heck, I don't want to deal with any possible compatibility issues in the future.
The key I got worked fine.

Personally, I would never grant any company the ability to capture data on my computer if the computer stores sensitive personal information. Any open door to data stored in a computer can be exploited. Smart people avoid Edge and Chrome browsers. All devices are sandboxed if connected to the internet. I don't update or run malware protection. Zero infection since 2000.
Microsoft number one priority is to generate profits for shareholders. Most people don't have the knowledge to kill 100% of the spyware stuffs built into W11. The older version of W11 is already out of support in just two years. It's a constant game of cat and mouse to kill the Microsoft spyware.
Older versions of Windows 11, specifically version 21H2 and 22H2 (for Home/Pro editions), are out of support and no longer receive security updates. To get support again, you need to upgrade to a newer version, such as 23H2 or the latest 24H2, using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, while making sure to keep your personal files and apps.

How/Where to get Windows 10 key ?

I then booted up AnduinOS and even just running the live version prior to installing it on the SSD, it runs that perfectly fine. Hmmm.
