Can't disagree more - can make soft serve-ish or hard. Maybe learn how to use it before bashing it. Got an 11-in-1 refurbished on ebay, couldn't be happier with it, use it all the time and stopped buying ice cream at the supermarket.

needs a minute thaw out of the freezer and a spin or two but making high protein ice creams that taste great is super easy & reddit sub has tons of recipes (no not with cottage cheese). I love mine. You'll need more than 2 containers pretty much immediately to experiment

Wait for woot refurbished it's $100 for the 11 and 1. Use 1% milk and water little less than line add your ANIMAL protein powder freeze in overnight. Thaw under warm water for a couple minutes, Mix light ice cream then do a remix and it turns out perfect

These things are terrible. Ice cream is always soft.

The blade on my 7 in 1 started falling off mid processing. I usually just used pints right away out of feeezer. But now have to put it in microwave for about 30 secs. Ended up too soft after processing like soft serve, milk shake texture so might have to change timing. But saved me $130 from getting out of warranty replacement for just base machine from ninja directly. If that costco deal for deluxe 11 in 1 returns ill go for it

Sounds like user error. You're not using it correctly.

Our Walmart had this for $100 this summer. We use it all the time. There's a little bit of an art to it, but the learning curve is short. I cannot brag on this product enough.

I bought one of these refurb for $100 a few years ago from Woot! and it still works well. It's great for protein ice cream (I blend the protein shake first usually iso 100 vanilla or fruity pebbles sometimes Optimum nutrition chocolate) and you can even freeze a can of dole pineapples and make a nice pineapple freeze. It tastes like the dole pineapple soft serve that you get at Hawaiian Bros.

Co-sighing! Not sure what the other poster is talking about but like you said these have different setting for degrees of frozen. It's a great way to make ice cream. I love it. I make healthy ice cream.
