Where are these made? I have Amazons made in Japan and Amazons made in China. The ones labeled made in Japan definitely last longer and don't get hot when I recharge them. 1 out of 8 of the ones made in China have completely died for some reason and they get noticeably hot when they are recharging.

I use an Xbox controller for a fair bit of my gaming on PC (roguelites and driving games in particular) and these work great for that purpose. Battery life even with near-daily use spans into enough weeks I'd struggle to give an exact estimate, if you charge 4x at a time in a basic USB charger it's such a minor inconvenience overall. Having to properly dispose of regular alkalines becomes more effort, let alone the cost over time. Also great for remotes where the lower voltage means they don't corrode when left for a while, and you just swap them out once a season.

LADDA runs $11.99 for 4 at IKEA right now, same NiMH composition and only 50mAh capacity more, what makes them worth almost 4x the price vs this deal?
