Bambu Lab's sale stands out as a strong entry point for easy, reliable printing, especially the P1S at $399 and the A1 or A1 Mini for beginners. The ecosystem, app printing, and MakerWorld integration make setup and model access feel simple, and the printers are praised for skipping bed leveling and tuning while delivering consistent first layers. The P1S gets extra credit for enclosure support and dependable long runs, while the A1 series is favored for easier nozzle changes and flow calibration. Main caveats are AMS pricing and packaging, since the combo often includes the first generation unit, some accessories ship separately, and multicolor printing adds waste and time.

I was going to buy the AMS Lite for my A1, but the AMS 2 Pro for only $100 more looks like a better deal? My wife has already mentioned getting a dryer, and this would take care of both of her wants/needs, right? It says "with extra accessories needed" for the A1, but I don't see anything in the add-ons for the A1. Is there more that I would need? Also, what is the thermometer hydrometer for? Does it not come with a way of monitoring that already?

fyi for people who bought the P1S with the AMS 2 Pro combo, all of the pieces (annoyingly) come in different boxes/shipments.
i got the printer first. then the ams 2 two days later. then a box with the vibration feet, the 4 pin cable, a bunch of ptfe tubes, a 4 pin cable, and the hub in another box 3 days after the ams. and im still waiting for the ptfe coupler that connects the printer tube to the ams tube. the coupler is finally in transit and is expected on the 10th. which means that it will be about two weeks until i get all of the stuff i need to properly operate the combo. this entire process has been more than a little aggravating.
thank goodness there's a few ptfe couplers on makerworld you can print so do that before you start unplugging things and trying to put it together if you don't gave the ptfe coupler yet.

I initially ordered the P1S with AMS Combo but cancelled that one and ordered the one with AMS 2 Pro for the extra 50 bucks. Good decision?
Yes, good decision.

To be honest, the fumes from nylon are near nonexistent. I've heard people say it has a slightly sweet smell, but I've never noticed it, and it's not toxic and irritating like ABS. Also ASA is nowhere near as noxious and toxic as ABS. I still ventilate ASA, but ABS is some nasty stuff.
I'm building a full ventilation system. Watch some YouTube videos. Even PLA has particles and fumes that go into the air.

What about the kit to connect it? I received both ams2 and p1s but I can't find the buffer and power cord to the ams2 that is advertised on the product page. They haven't shipped the free vibration feet but it doesn't mention the kit is going to be shipping with it. I'm at a lost.
Sorry for the late reply, I have to wait for the other box to arrive to install AMS2, the buffer, PowerCord are all in it.

PLA actually releases more VOC's than many other filaments, but that doesn't really mean anything. Not all VOC's and particles are as toxic as ABS fumes. You release far more and more toxic fumes into your house everytime you cook, even with the hood fan on. You're also exposed to far more and far more toxic VOC's (car exhaust, etc) and microplastic particles in your day to day life than you ever will printing plastics like PLA and PETG. A ventilation system is a good thing to have, especially for ABS. You're better off putting air purifiers in all your rooms from all the other exposures than worrying about PLA or PETG VOC's, if all you print is PLA and PETG, though.

does the PTFE coupler come separately? My filament buffer came separately but my vibration feet, and hopefully 4 PIN cable, and power cable come today. I got my AMS 2 a few days ago but it only came with the 6 PIN, im missing the coupler but i did see i can print that

If its the P1S AMS 2 Pro combo, you get 3 packages: The P1S printer box, the AMS 2 Pro box, and another box with the install kit (with the hub or buffer and power supply) and whatever other add-ons you bought. I just got mine 3 days in a row Friday and over the weekend. The odd part is that the tracking numbers aren't obvious on the order page, but if you click on the first tracking number, you can see all of them (if they actually shipped already)
Which one did your PTFE coupler come in? I'm waiting for the 4 PIN, coupler, power supply (but the package description just says "Vibration feet"

Looking to get the A1 mini for my daughters 10th birthday as her first 3D printer. Seems like a good choice, any reason why I should look for something different.
I bought an A1 mini in July for me and my 10 year old daughter. The idea was to get the cheapest one and see if we even use it. We use it all the time and love it. I'm selling the mini and getting an A1 Combo.

Advice sought: Looking at these units and trying to decide. I have an Ender 3 V2. I put it together 3 years ago and printed a single test cube. Smilie The cube is decent, but the fiddling around with hardware, software, and manual leveling is a bridge too far! I want a PURE APPLIANCE. I hit print and my thingy comes out. I will print in PLA, PETG, and maybe ABS (need reasonable durability and perhaps UV/WX survival), all in black. No colors. No figurines. No cosplay armor. No AMS (if I need one later I will buy one). I'm printing ham radio and electronics parts and enclosures, knobs, bezels, estucheons, L brackets, angle "irons," insulators, lightly-loaded gear assemblies and turns-counting dials, etc, all in black.
I am on a budget. I don't need blinking lights, just rock solid, no fuss, printing in basic black. I don't wanna mod it, supercharge it, etc, in any way, save for perhaps replacing nozzles if I abrade the original to death). I have a basement shop with a dedicated, powered exhaust vent to the outside world (from nearby laser engraver).
I don't need a huge print volume, but I probably need more on occasion than the A1 Mini could provide.
If I'm lucky I might get $100 for the Ender 3 V2 to apply to my purchase. I'm thinking A1 or P1S. What are you thinking?
As always, Thanks.

I finally bought the A1 combo (my first ever printer) last night. Then this morning I realize that my local Best Buy carries them for the same price as well. Anyone has ordered, how long did shipping take for you? Are they shipping the printer through Fedex/UPS. I saw an USPS label created so I assume it's the other package for the extra nozzles.

Why anyone buying A1 - A1 mini when you can get AD5X for as low as 230!
Honestly I got the AD5X on a previous deal and I'm wondering if I should get the A1 combo. What people haven't mentioned is if you are nor a 3d modeler most of the ready to print multi color models are sliced for Bambu printers specifically.

I have A1 and will be getting U1 from Snapmaker soon. Why can't the same model be sliced on orca slicer and used with AD5x?

If you could buy an A1 instore at Microcenter or Best Buy, which one would you choose? Seems like Best Buy has the longer holiday return policy, but I like customer service at Microcenter.
