Blood West- Think Lovecraftian horror combined with a western theme. There's gore in it but it has good reviews. I'm not into the gore but I like the blended theme.
Clem- This is the game to choose if you enjoy puzzle games. I've become more fond of puzzle style games now that I've gotten older.
Repose- This is what I will get with Ghostbusters if I go for this deal. I just love the pixelated art style. Not even sure how good the game is but I really like the art style.
Triple Pack- In Sound Mind is a psychological horror game if you enjoy that style of game. Tormented Souls is a survival horror game where you are trapped in a mansion. It's combat heavy and includes a lot of gore.
Deathwatchers- This is a solo or up to 4 player co-op horror game where you are investigating paranormal events. I'm not sure how good it would be solo but if you have a couple of friends who also want to play it this would be a good choice.
I'm sorry but I can't really speak about the other games. I know those are brief descriptions but it gives you a little bit of detail to hopefully help you make an informed decision about which games to buy.
Triple Pack is a must-get just for Tormented Souls alone. If you're into classic survival horror with strict resource management, fixed camera angles, and difficult puzzles, Tormented Souls is the best example of it in years. It also has a sequel that came out yesterday. The dev team is a small outfit out of Chile and their art design rivals that of Capcom and all the other majors. In Sound Mind is included in the triple pack and is also very highly regarded, so I'm excited to try it.
Withering Rooms was one of the best games I played in 2024 and is a must-play for all horror fans. Usually any time I see "Roguelite/like" or "procedural generation," I immediately disregard, but something about the trailers and enemy designs made me give this game a chance. So glad I did. Staggering number of enemy types, well-written, stellar art design, great music, and a really impressive number of systems and mechanics that are both deep and well-implemented. It is a true solo dev effort as well - most games that claim to be solo dev end up having a ton of credits for external subs and third party contractors. Not so with this game. It's one guy and a bunch of volunteer voice actors.
If you're like me and hate anything rogue, just know going in that it's EXTREMELY light on those mechanics and that almost everything you find can be permanently unlocked. Shortcuts within the mansion are permanently unlocked, you can flag an awesome weapon or item to carry over to subsequent nights, and while the manor does shift around after each death, each chapter's mansion variant still follows the same basic framework, e.g. the main hallway with 5 rooms will always be there, but the rooms themselves will shuffle or vary slightly in terms of drops or enemies. Bosses and certain enemies are consistent across all runs
It may seem like I'm a shill or the dev, but I'm not. It's just one of those games where I was so blown away that I try to sing its praises every chance I get. I don't think it was super successful so I bought it on every platform just to try and support the dev and hopefully get a sequel (he's working on it now). Wish one of the big youtube channels would review it and bring it to a larger audience.
Note: I already had 5% off codes, but didn't want to lookem up, Tried OMENVIP and it took off 5%, should work for everyone.
