Don't know for certain, but my guess is that you'd need to use the rectangular plug. I'm presuming this laptop could charge off either that or USB-C, but the GPU may require more than 100w.

If you're using the GPU in short bursts, then maybe it can operate off PD using the battery as needed.

I don't know, I'm just speculating.
I would guess, it would use the power the USB-C gives it and makes up the difference from the battery.

USB-C should supply up to 100w and the included charger supplies up to 175w.

I obviously didn't read closely enough (and didn't understand the Thunderbolt 4/USB-C relationship). Thank you for the info/clarification. Unless something better comes up for BF/CM with a great screen and keyboard, 32GB RAM, 1 TB+ storage, graphics that can support light gaming and video editing, good connectivity/ports, and the extra warranty that Costco provides, all for $1000 or less, I'm likely in for 2 (his and hers) on 11/27.

Absolutly, I am thinking very hard about getting this for myself.

Best part is you can turn the RTX 5050 off and just run off the iGPU 140T. I would not take it for fact but in this mode, Best Power Efficiency, they claim 19 hours of run time. Once its on Balanced or higher the RTX 5050 will work giving you a solid gaming experience. Best of both worlds, portable/power efficient but also capable of gaming.

I'm considering this. The only other I'm considering is the LG Gram Pro 16 at Costco, which has a similar processor and GPU (I compared the processor, they're close). That one is currently $2199 at Costco, but I'm guessing there will be a deal for BF.
The LG Gram Pro is a lb lighter, has a more matte non touch IPS panel that is less bright - pros and cons. The LG's weight is a real plus when traveling. Add the charger and the weight difference becomes bigger.

Anyone else considering these two?

Confirmed they will NOT price match for BF. Any other statements are in error.

I keep seeing recommendations for the legion instead of the ideapad, is the legion made with metal or plastic chasis? That's a big deal to me. Also, I just ordered one on Lenovo with only 16gb of ram. I really only do office stuff and little bit of gaming with egpu, should I cancel the my order and wait for this costco one?

Not a gamer and don't care for toughscreens... currently on a very old I7-9750h/8gb G531gt Rog Strix w/ GTX 1650 about to die(case cracked, screen hinges separating wifi dead...) https://slickdeals.net/e/13092910-asus-rog-g531gt-15-6-gaming-laptop-fhd-i7-9750h-gtx-1650-4gb-512gb-ssd-850-free-shipping

Can someone compare the pros/cons to these within my $1000-1200 budget, for the next 5 years of usage

You do care about OLED vs LCD don't you? Your phone is 6.5" with OLED or LCD?

Not really.... Tv isn't OLED.
Phone is I think amoled 2x(Cricket S23FE) but don't watch videos on it.... calls/texts/email only

Old laptop, which has a perfectly good working screen, is HD 1920x1080. As long as the new screen is similar or better, any of the 3 would be fine. Trying to get as much performance per dollar and $1200 is at the top edge of the budget. Not sure what cpu/memory soaking Windows version will have in the future.... windows 12, 13, 14.....and all those bloated updates.

Need a little more than my current i7-9750h and its 8gb ram.
2 of them seem similar cpu power while 3rd stands out a bit more.

Any would be a rocket compared to current:

I usually buy gaming laptops since they seem to last longer(maybe better heatsinkcoolingfans or just rugged guts or lucky or stressfree life) without looking like a toughbook since I don't drop 'em.

You never watch anything on a giant 65/77/83 inch OLED TV?

Bro, you're missing out so much in life. It's like being a virgin and you hit 25yo.

Will Costco do price adjustment if we buy now?
They do but you have to submit adjustment request during the promotional date and with in 30 day. I think it is holiday on this particular promotion so you may not get a chance!!!
