Don't feed The Verizon, no matter what name they choose
Alternatively, port into Charter Spectrum free plan & then port into US mobile after a day.

actually, it seems like it might be possible if you reach out to support for them to apply it manually. so you might be able to get a few days trial if you're willing to go through the extra work
(since the promo ends 10/30)

(fyi their subreddit support seems to be better than chat)
edit: personally, i wouldn't risk it
"Free Trial Activation :
The free trial is currently available on the Warp and Dark Star networks only. You can port in your number to either of these networks using an eSIM or a physical SIM card.
Combining the Free Trial with Superweek Plans :
The Superweek plans are primarily for new activations or new port-ins. However, you can also get them activated on a line that's currently on a free trial, as long as you do so before the promo expires on October 31st, 2025.
So, for example, if you port your number in today, you'll have about 6–7 days to test out the free trial before activating the Superweek plan."
I remember when Apple was rolling out RCS support in iMessage the carriers took a bit to implement it and some MVNOs took months if I recall correctly.
As an iPhone user I don't want to loose anything I expect to function like visual voicemail etc. and, with the new RCS spec coming in the next year I'd hate to be behind everyone. I'm a nerd lol
