In for 1 in excellent condition. They're also offering a $10 discount just for having an account, and it stacks! I just had to apply it at checkout and came out to just over $50.

I figure that the fair condition one has scratches but besides that is there going to be anything else wrong with it? Less battery life?

Holding out for those!

Just sharing my experience with Best Buy open box items. I've bought excellent stuff that are in bad shape. Conversely, I've bought fair stuff that end up being better than the supposedly excellent condition ones. So it can be a crapshoot.

That all sounds better than Amazon's used items where you don't know what you're going to get; like a box of chocolates.

Yes. It's now discontinued and replaced by the Pro 2. The Pro 2 is a significant upgrade because they integrated a dual-driver system that uses bone conduction to do the treble/mid-tone sound and a separate air speaker to do the bass notes. Doing the bass through bone conduction, like in the original Pro model posted here, can be awkward in that it can make the headphone feels "buzzy" and uncomfortable to wear. You really need a snug fit to eliminate the buzz, so results vary depending on your noggin. Using air conduction, the bass frequency speaker in the Pro 2 does not put out a lot of audible noise, just vibration, (similar to a sub-woofer in a home theater system) so it won't even be noticeable to people around you unless they are sitting right next to you in a quiet area and you have the volume cranked up.

These are great for areas where you want some awareness of your surroundings, since they don't block your ears. Conversely they aren't useful for areas where you want to block external noise, like an airplane, or in a gym where they blast their own music.

A really nice side benefit of these that I've noticed is that they don't discourage people from talking to you like in-ear headphones do, since you're not obviously "plugged-in" and blocking the outside world. So if you're walking around campus or at work and you don't want to be socially isolated from everyone around you, but still want to listen to your media, these types of earphones are great for that.
