1720mg salt in a can. Unless you are diluting it in a swimming pool....

You can add some mixed veggies or other ingredients to the soup, split to 2 meals or share with others

Nooooo, must resist, no more soup. We're drowning in soup!, Oh crap, ordered this anyway, with AmEx discount, Amazon day delivery discount, S&S on future orders, under $10. Better be good!
And coupon can be used more than once. I need to go lie down.

I understand a LOT of people will eat the whole can as a meal when it's technically 2 servings, but like pixielia said, using these as a base for a larger portion of soup is the way to go because you can stretch it pretty far with a few extra veggies and a splash of liquid.

I'm surprised it took 30 minutes for the sodium police to show up.

First time in a long time, I have a 30% discount, up to $30 on my AmEx Blue card. Applies over multiple transactions, but apparently does not work with initial S&S set up.Good thing I have nothing better to do than futz around with Amazon.

A serving is NOT and has never been a meal. Heck, even the whole can is not a meal. Add up the number of recommended servings in the food pyramid; it's 15-26 servings. So unless you are eating 15 "meals" a day, you should be eating the whole can and more for your meal.

Guys, these are Canned Food. If you want a healthy and balanced meal, cook your own meal. I'm just trying to shop good deals to send to my local food pantry as we know what's upcoming next month. It's kind of a luxury to talk about sodium and nutrition right now.
Plus, people have taste buds and will adjust the soup to their taste. Even if you cut the sodium amount to a "healthy level", some people will find it too bland and will add salt when eating. If they think the soup is too salty, then add water and a bunch of ingredients to dilute it. The problem is not in a can of soup but people's eating habit.

If people can't self regulate salt through water and thirst they have other problems

Haha!, yes 30 minutes, but still first on the scene. It's like moths to a flame, you just know they are going to show up.
