I signed up when they had this mistake. I just got an email that they are fixing this mistake. I have to renew in December, 2025.

Same here. I tried to access the thread about that deal and it was deleted. Suspicious, might have been intentionally created by AMC to get people to sign up.

That mistake was promoted here for at least a week. So for AMC to do a bait and switch just to get subs is ridiculous, they had every intention of cancelling the extra year but wanted the subs. After the rest of my sub expires I'm out also. I haven't been to AMC in ages and only have one close to me and their are other theaters around me that offer better deals.

Seems like you just have an older or not as nice theater. Luckily, my theater's screen has good brightness during flashy scenes which makes a noticeable difference from my TV and is still well over 100 inches with the 30 seat configuration. Last time I went there were only like 5 people in there.

It sounds like you're not a particularly discerning customer of the movie experience. And that's fine, but you should at least acknowledge that. There is no $400 BJs TV that would compare to even the most basic theater experience. I spent upwards of $25k on my home theater setup (dedicated room, theater specific seating, surround sound system, large screen setup, decor, etc). and even THAT doesn't fully compare to watching a true blockbuster in a great theater. I felt a difference, for example, watching the F1 movie in theaters than at home. In theater was just..... better.

If you truly just want to "see" the movie content rather than experience every aspect of it, then as I mentioned before, watching at home on a cheap TV will suffice. You can get huge TVs for super cheap, it's not like the 80s when most people had 20" TVs. That's not a theater's fault, you just don't value what they are selling.
