The cheapest 5070 ti that I can see is $750 which is about a 60% increase in cost. That is not "a little more" and I don't think you get 60% more performance.

Yes, the ti is a better card but it is definitely not the better value compared to this.

I wouldn't, when that "little" is $200 or more. That's nearly half the price of this card.

Lol. People hype up Black Friday every year, only to be disappointed.

For those that care about RGB, this card doesn't come with an RGB cable to plug in to your motherboard. Meaning the RGB can only be controlled by the GIGABYTE software. Also, I remember someone mentioning that GIGABYTE doesn't do full warranty on open-box items, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Im sure there will be much better deals coming very soon with Black Friday around the corner.
very possible but its hard to compare a currently available sale and an imaginary one.

All cards will eventually get cheaper as they get older and newer cards are released but we shouldn't let that factor too much into current buying decisions as this will always be true.

generationally they have kept the tiers about 20-30 percent away from each other at the very least.
4090 < 5090
4090 = 5080
4090 > 5070 ti
4090 >> 5070
Traditionally the TI / Supers won't increase performance beyond the next tier base model so a 5070 ti or super will never beat a 5080 on performance alone, but efficiency and power consumption relative to performance needs to be factored.
without looking at the numbers

I thought Best Buy open box items still retain their manufacturer warranty? I know Amazon resale and Ebay used items void the original manufacturer warranty.

IIRC, they maintain warranty but not from manufacturer. Instead it is from Bestbuy.
