Not great, Jim.

I bought this for $200 one year ago, new. Solid device, but I feel like the newer model is probably right around $200 so I don't I don't know if I would go for last year's goods refurbished for only a $50 savings.

Plus with Google announcing that they are sun setting chromeos and merging it with Android I would kind of like to see where that shakes up before I bought any further Chromebooks.

That $100 one though looks pretty tempting for my little girl - She's been using a Chrome OS Flex laptop that I built for her a couple of years ago, But it doesn't run Android apps.

Glad I bought it in Jan for $90 open box at BB. Doesn't seem to be a good deal, almost a year ago for $150

Anyone bought a refurb computer from Woot before? What is the condition like? How easy are returns if the condition is less than desired? Can I return it via Amazon's Whole Foods stores instead of shipping it back?

Yours is the cheaper 4GB version, not the 8GB version that Woot is selling.

You bought the one with 4GB RAM, and this is with 8GB RAM.

Think my 10 year old will enjoy this as a nice upgrade to his old Fire Tablet for Christmas. In for one.

Did you buy the 8GB version for $200? This one is 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is also a cheaper version with only 4GB + 64GB that retails for closer to $200.

It does support Linux, but some Linux apps won't like the Snapdragon CPU.

My two cent...
I am a big fan of ChromeOS and IMHO... when google merges the two OS, they will keep these Chromebooks with ChromeOS only and only the newstuff will have this new talked about OS... and that goes the same with an android tablet.
NOW, about this deal. "heavy sigh".... the CPU is weak... The G99 CPU is about equal to the 7c Gen 2.
I say the G99/SD695/SD 7c Gen2 are close enough that I consider them equal. I have been saying for the last year... the weakest CPU you should buy is G99/SD695/SD 7c Gen2 in today's market... been saying this for 1.5years!!!
I still say this is a deal! It is a great streaming device. And has the app store. But realize this is a chromebook... and google wants you to use Chrome for everything so I believe you can only stream in HD if you go through your Chromebrowser.
I have the HP equivalent that was purchased over two years ago and I have a 7C gen 1 not gen 2. And it is used daily for streaming.
I would get his before a Tab S9+... in a heartbeat.

@lisa_boston When you say, "used daily for streaming". Can you expand on this statement? You don't run apps on this?

It has access to the play store so you can install netflix, prime, disney, etc...
BUT... you must use the Chrome browser to stream content in HD on a Chromebook... so go to netflix.com... disney.com... etc....
I use unethical websites which have alot of popups. Chrome on a PC use to have the best popup blockers. Basically, you can FORCE INSTALL "ublock origin" as a chrome addon... google will try to make you drop it but you just need to continue and force install it.... it seems to have hurt google's advertisement dollar. Just a few months ago, you could have installed it with no issues at all.
When you stream unethical websites... you don't have to worry about Widevine Level 1 support... only with paid streams.
So the tablet I am talking about belongs to my partner and it is used daily to steam stuff BUT not from any paid streaming sites.
