This isn't really a lifetime warranty. "If a part fails during the warranty period shown on your receipt, bring the part to an AutoZone store and you will receive a replacement or refund. Warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, abuse, other faulty parts, improper installation or off-road, commercial or marine use. Warranties on replacement parts cover the unused portion of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer. Warranties expire when you sell your vehicle."
Lol I heard they do it for their brake pads. You just bring in your old ones and they'll replace them on the spot.

I've had good luck getting their in-house tools warrantied. Sometimes they didn't ask for a receipt. Plus, this is a $5 tool...

I bought a used one of these and the blade is dull so I will try a couple of these new ones.
As for warranties, I've gotten brake pads replaced free without any issues, not sure about tools.

The old former plumber at my big box hardware store recommended one of these with my plumbing project (from PVC to PEX).

Because of the flat clean cuts, these cutters are the only way to go with quick valves. Finished my project 7 years ago and not a drop of leak anywhere.

Strong recommend.

Also work good for stripping old/hard insulation/large gauge copper wiring! Just used a pair last week vs trying to do it with a utility knife.

Got a couple of things at a store for pickup. Successfully picked them up but was told that all the other tools on clearance were on hold for a commercial customer so not to order anymore........

So I took my email confirmation to the store, where they told me it was out of stock and they've refunded my cc.
You won't need to remind me never to shop at AutoZone again.

I have a ton of bamboo in my back yard and use this to cut the bamboo also.
Think I'll try it out as a pruning shear.
