Do you have any basic DIY skills? To give you a quick rundown, you would place the ikea desk surface upside down on the floor, then set the assembled motorized desk frame (also upside down) onto the surface and get it perfectly centered, drill pilot holes into the desk surface, being especially careful not to accidentally drill too deep into the surface (don't want to come out the other side and end up with a hole on the top surface), then attach the frame to the desk using screws (also being sure to not use screws that are longer than the thickness of the desk surface… as a general guideline I'd say screws that are between 1/2 to 3/4 the thickness of the desk surface.)

The linked table top has honeycomb structure (meaning not a solid slab), any tips how to work with it?

How to connect the IKEA table top(for example, this one called LAGKAPTEN [ikea.com]) onto this? Thanks!
I have this top on a similar (monoprice) dual motor frame. Setup was pretty easy. Put the table top upside down on carpet. Then assemble the frame and put that upside down on the top. Adjust the width to preffered setting. Table top has 3 sets of pre drilled holes on each side and should line up with the frame. Put some screws in (should come with frame).

Flip the table (╯'□')╯︵ ┳━┳ Profit!

Thanks for the detail. I will try it. I assume I have to buy the screws separately from Home Depot, is that right? If so, what kind/type of screw should I buy(I understood the length of the screw, but not sure about the type for best fit).
Yes. Wood screws. Pre-drill the holes with a bit about the size of the screw shaft.

LOL at the $309 list price. $70 is still a good price for dual motors even w/o a top which you can pick up pretty much anywhere (Ikea or even find a piece of wood you like at local HD or lumber store.)

Got two from walmart last month since it's easy to return there: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Costwa.../624907133
Really surprised by quality and stability for this price. I re-used tops from our (mine + wife's) current desks.

Without having the material right in front of me to observe better, but kind of getting your description of it, my only advice would be that it pays to be a little less aggressive and a little more methodical about your approach with these types of materials.

Start with a very small drill bit and step up to the final bit incrementally. Sometimes you get a tendency of the drill bit wanting to "jump" out of alignment when going into those types of material if you try to start with too big of a bit. That can also happen with standard wood but is usually less pronounced.

Some type of wood screws for sure. After making sure they are the right length, next criteria to look at is based on the fact that they need to be used in concert with the existing desk frame. So you should pick screws that are approximately around the size of slotting through the desk frame's holes, but the head of the screw is larger than the holes in the desk frame and therefore cannot pull through. Alternatively, screws with a smaller head that would pull through the hole of the desk frame could also be used, but you would need to use metal washers that can sit between the too-small head of the screw and the desk frame's holes.
