Thanks OP. My 12 year old need a new one badly. She was using old 5 year old foam mattress for the last year and she already has a 3 inch topper so 9 inch mattress is fine. Great price.

My experience with 6" mattress on slats is that's it's probably going to be OK if they are on the firmer side. I really wish they only included 6" mattresses in the reviews as they include every thickness.
