Funny thing is, if they only gave it the "eco" mode (20mph) and used a 1hp (750W) motor, it would be a legal class 2 ebike.

I'm thinking they see upcoming legal chaos in the ebike space and are avoiding it with a "proper" minibike with absolutely no reference to on-road usage. As a well known company with real revenues, they'd be the easiest to sue for big payouts
