I've had the long version for several months, incredibly stout, easy to use, and very handy to have around. I just ordered 5 more sets, one for me and 4 for Christmas gifts. 5 sets got me another $30 off, total of $70 before tax.

I have these. They're alright. The listed $56 price is a joke though.

Anyone had one of these for a while? Does the holder in the handle holds up or does it get loose over time?

I bought this set last week, and was totally impressed by the quality. The action of the ratchet, and the quality of the bits are top-notch.

I'm thinking about buying another set

I have the non-ratcheting version. The holder is still holding up. Not sure what those people in the reviews are doing to theirs that they keep breaking them.

I can't say how long I've had it (feels like years but maybe not) but I use them to work on a small print farm and am always changing between different hex bits and I havent had any issue? I can't imagine how people are breaking them or wearing them out? maybe under heavy use/strain but I couldn't imagine using a ratcheting screw driver for actual mechanic work.

I have the previous style that has long interchangeable bits also stored in the handle, this set has a single bit holder for smaller stored bits that I think would interfere and be too wide for some tasks.

I like this screwdriver, and its solid, but it has some back drag. Just takes a little more wrist to use the ratcheting function.

Absolutely. I like this style for convenience (lots of bits!), but agree sometimes you need a regular screwdriver or an interchangeable long bit that mimics a stand alone screwdriver for clearance.

I wonder if they revised the ratchet mechanism, because I got the stubby early on... and there's so much backdrag to the ratcheting mechanism that it's worthless for anything but wood screws. Hot garbage. I should've returned it, but that ship has sailed.
This one does look different than the early one I have..

Honestly nothing beats the Kobalt QL3, the only screwdriver you need and has all the bits you need (including mini bits) and all self contained.

I have a channel lock ratcheting screwdriver (blue & red handle) with long bits stored in the handle and it's my "go to" tool for pretty much everything. Does anyone know if this is as good?
