This is limited use. You want one of those drill attachments with the brush on it.

I haven't cleaned my dryer vent in 12 years. What is this drill attachment that you speak of ?

You do want that. But that's also for a different purpose.

Right. The one they posted was to clean the dryer vent hose, not the vent part at the front of the machine. Arguably both should be cleaned of course.

No need for the drill version. That cable is only going to kink using a power drill. You can simply use the a manual brush version to loosen everything and then blow it out with a garden blower.

I have the drill attachment and it doesn't kink at all. I have about 12 ft of duct work i need to push with it and the spinning motion really dislodge all the lint that is stuck to the sides of the pipe. Of course it is on the lowest of the low settings on my drill. go birds

DJBVKSBU still seems to work. Maybe try the link [amazon.com]. Sometimes it can take a couple of tries for Amazon to show it was applied.

Just bought this and used it. It sucked out about 1.25 dyson's worth of lint. It goes deeper in the dryer but doesn't bend so far that it can go down into your vent from the dryer side.
Does it pull a bunch of lint out of your dryer? Yes.
Do you need to pull that lint out of your dryer? Probably not, it's just going to fill back up in a year anyways.

I have one of these for my Dyson V7 and it's great! I use it weekly to clean lint that gets past the lint trap.
