The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) ruled that Amazon is a "distributor" and thus liable for any products that are defective or hazardous. This includes products that are highly flammable, such as children's pajamas. Amazon has been ordered to notify customers about these hazardous products and to remove them from the platform. The CPSC's decision was based on Amazon's failure to adequately protect consumers from these products. NBC News+2

This one says it is ETL listed, so it is independently tested to be compliant with US fire safety rules. A lot of the electronics on Amazon are not though.
