I paid the same amount for this last year and feel like it was a good value. I used to borrow a neighbor's single-stage gas blower and this performs the same just without the noise or smell. It's not going to perform as well as the two-stage kind like another neighbor has but I just don't have the need for that.

I live somewhere that gets plenty of snow and can clear my walkways, small driveway pad, and sidewalk for our block without swapping batteries. We did get one late storm that brought a lot of heavy, wet snow, and I had to swap batteries and push pretty hard to clear the block for that one. I already owned other FlexVolt batteries so I don't consider that a problem but others might.

Check with your local utilities, they may have a rebate for electric snow blowers. Mine gave me $100 back.

I've been eyeing this for a bit. I wish the bare tool were similarly discounted, but this is only $10 more than the bare tool. If you are already in the DeWalt Battery Universe, worth the grab.

Those batteries seem small for a snow thrower. What is the runtime?

Battery run time always varies per person based on so many factors. The first poster gave you some of his insight but runtime is far to subjective for a snow blower to be a one size fits all in that regard.

Seems to have lukewarm reviews: https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-cordl...er-review/
Seems Ryobi and Ego both have a 2-stage battery blower (40v and 56v respectively). I wonder if this will be the next generation for Dewalt. Perhaps this would alleviate some of the bogging down toolguy mentions.
Also the HomeDepot site review section is littered with reviews mentioning an issue with a drive belt breaking.

Would love a dewalt snow blower as I already have so many batteries but the reviews on dewalt.com and number of people having issues with broken belts kind of scares me.

I have this snowblower, it's pretty awesome, definitely enough power to handle wet snow up to the top. I recommend some snow blower lubricant for the housing and chute. Wet snow can get stuck in there fairly easily. Runtime, I'd say 30-40 minutes on a full charge. I'm able to do my driveway 3 times before having to recharge (if it's like an inch or 2). 6 inches of snow I'll probably get 2 driveways on one charge. I have a second set of 60v and that's helpful. These are the 12Ah @20v, 4Ah @60v batteries.

The batteries are 4ah, but the picture shows two 12ah batteries. In my experience with the DeWalt system, at least 12ah would be needed for any decent run time.

This will work if it's what your looking for but if your looking for something else it might work best to get something else for what it is. Back in my day.

don't know if this was mentioned yet... with these Dewalt Flex batteries, there are 2 different amp ratings. the 12ah is for the batteries in a 20V tool. The 4ah is for the batteries operating at 60V capacity (in a 60V tool)
