These are only great prices if you are super flexible on your travel dates (unfortunately, all of my dates are already sold out). Also, don't forget to include the fees for in-flight meals/bags (I assume everyone wants to eat, lol).
To add some much-needed details on this, here is a sample flight I tried booking just now, from Houston to Tokyo, 12/11 to 12/25
$561 for round round-trip flight (WOW!)
$288 for in-flight meals + 1 check-in bag
$102 taxes/fees
$951 total - very good deal!
Right now, I am looking at $3,200 total on another airline (the only flight available for ANY airline, since my dates are not flexible)
