I'm trying to think what this small size drivers can do that a regular socket with a cheap HF extension can't, and nothing comes to mind. $17 will buy you a box of extensions of all sizes so you can use real sockets. Maybe magnetic comes useful if you can put 6" driver into car engine compartment

People choose nut drivers mainly for their hollow shafs to accomodate long bolts. But this isnt the case here. You can simply use a 6" extension + socket.

Yep, this is really a 'buy it and forget about it' purchase. Unless you have a specific job that requires constant manipulation of recessed nuts/bolts like that, you will be using a basic socket set and extension because its just far more versatile, before bothering to dig this out of the toolbox.

This isn't really targeted for car mechanics they are for other industries

Falls in the category for most of "won't need it very often (if at all). Until you do. Then it's really useful".

Like most tools I own. They sure come in handy when I do need them.

Working on motorcycles I use the shorter ones with an extension a lot, extensions cause a bit of a wobble and can come apart at times when using, same when you connect an extension onto a ratchet then a socket onto the end of a extension. Little easier and quicker to grab the one peice tool and go. ;;;
