My wife has this and she hates it. The backrest is curved and makes it very uncomfortable.

A chair is not meant to be comfortable just like the shoes we wear are not supposed to have big cushions and air pockets. We are meant to walk barefoot and not sit. It's why 95% of America has hip, ankle and knee issues. The backrest should not be used or at least used as little as possible. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, but I have been very passionate about learning about this for 10 years. I was told I needed back surgery and I refused. I changed two things in my life. I only wear vivobarefoot shoes, everyone should own a pair, and I stopped sitting as much as possible. Saved a lot of money and time over having surgery.

This goes against every posture recommendation. I am quite comfortable sitting like that in my current chair. No need for a $90 gimmick

Years ago (probably about 35) ago I bought a chair that worked similar to this one where the woman is sitting with her knees on the lower level. I was suffering with chronic back pain at the time and I could sit in that chair for his without back pain.

It wasn't exactly like this chair, but used like that one picture this one might help if you have back pain. Just make sure what the return period is in case it doesn't.
