Do pay attention because this one seems to be for the older models. Mine is not very new (Watch 7) and is not listed as compatible. That matters because my watch won't charge with my wife's older model watch OEM charger.

AFAIK, the chargers are same up to Watch7 series (just vary by USB-A/C, charging speed). They got the slightly different charger starting with Watch8.

Edit: I think he's right. Watch7&8 have lower compatibility. Some works, some doesn't.

Should I just throw away all my USB-A cubes and lifetime warranty Monoprice USB-A to Lightning cables just because there's a new kid in town named USB-C? I don't see that happening for a long time; it would be throwing away money to replace something that does everything I need. Even high end office and gaming desktops still use USB-A. Serial and PS2 ports are cancer. USB-A is an old and trusted friend.

Same experience. My Watch7 stays warm after finishing charging on my third party charger but not on the official one.
