Was considering this, but it appears a lot of people had issues with Bass speaker either right out of the box, or within a year or so of purchasing. They don't list the model number of the bass alone, so it maaay be different, but it seems unlikely.

Most of my TVs are roku, this is unnecessary and I can just get a non roku soundbar and not pay for redundancy, correct?

The ability to control everything with 1 simple (roku) remote was a big factor for me. If you're fine with having 2 remotes then you should look at non-roku products. As for OS redundancy, depending on how new/high quality your TVs are, this unit may be faster than your Tv's OS so that's something to consider.

That really shouldn't be a concern these days. Any soundbar that supports HDMI-ARC or CEC will let the Roku remote control the volume and power.

It's not just the sound you are buying you are also getting a Roku player. So for the price it's worth it. Yes sound quality may not be as great as other well known brands
